Today at approximately 2:40 pm the fire safety system activated at the High School. Students and staff were evacuated from the building. The Three Rivers Fire Department and Police Department responded along with Three Rivers Community Schools maintenance staff.

The fire safety system activation was a result of a mechanical failure in one of the vestibule lights over the main entrance of the high school. The Three Rivers Fire Department inspected the lighting fixture, performed a thermal scan of the related area and deemed it safe.

Currently the Three Rivers Community Schools maintenance staff is repairing the light.
