Dear Parents, Staff and Community Members:

The district is committed to developing a 15-year comprehensive District Facilities and Site Master Plan.  Since initiating planning, we have evaluated the status of all buildings and sites in order to identify what work needs to be done to address current and future educational programming needs. We have also surveyed students, staff, parents and community members, including three previous surveys.

Key themes that are emerging from the surveys and building evaluations are:

Safety and security
Includes safer traffic patterns to, from and around our schools, secure entrances and monitoring of any visitors to our schools, security cameras in more locations inside and outside our facilities, more safety for our playgrounds and athletic facilities.

Extending the useful life of our facilities
Includes updating heating and cooling systems, updating lighting systems inside and outside our facilities, replacing leaking roofs.
     
Technology and learning environment updates
Includes providing adequate technology equipment for our students to use, updating the middle school learning environment, providing relevant classrooms furnishings for our students to use every day.
