The beginning of the 2018-2019 school year is underway. On behalf of the Three Rivers Community Schools Board of Education, Leadership Team, teachers and staff I want to officially welcome all of our students and families back to school. I was able to make the rounds to all of our school buildings on our first day, Monday August 27th It was exciting to see our students entering school with smiles and anticipation of starting a new year. All of our staffs have worked extremely hard in preparing for this successful start. I want to personally thank them for that hard work. It is evident when you see how our buildings look, how carefully our bus drivers pick up and drop off our students from school, and how much thought and preparation by our teachers went into creating an inviting and challenging learning environment for all of our students.

Part of my “Make a Difference” message to our entire staff during our first day together on August 21 st was being an educator comes with a tremendous amount of responsibility to provide:

  • A safe and secure learning environments.
  •  Nourishment — not only for the body, but the mind and soul.
  •  Caring, inviting, encouraging, and challenging learning experiences.

Jane Goodall stated, “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”

My vision for Three Rivers Community Schools is to be the 1 st Choice for K-12 education in St. Joseph County, and we accomplish this by making a difference — a positive difference every day for every student we serve in Three Rivers Community Schools.

I want to wish of our students and their families a successful and rewarding school year.

Ron Moag – Superintendent
