TITLE IX NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICIES

Three Rivers Community Schools does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including sexual orientation and transgender identity), disability, age, religion, height, weight, marital or family status, military status, ancestry, genetic information, or any other legally protected category, (collectively, "Protected Classes") in its programs and activities, including employment opportunities.

In addition, TRCS will not tolerate any retaliation against individuals who submit complaints and/or who participate in investigations relating to such complaints.

Further, in accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), students, employees, and candidates for admission to any educational program and/or employment and all other persons are protected against all forms of sex discrimination and sexual harassment, including based on gender identity or stereotypical notions of gender identity.

Policy 2266: NONDISCRIMINATION ON THE BASIS OF SEX IN EDUCATION PROGRAMS OR ACTIVITIES 

Effective August 1, 2024, Policy 2266 shall only pertain to Reports or Formal Complaints of Sexual Harassment that are based on conduct alleged to have occurred on or before July 31, 2024.

Policy 2264: NONDISCRIMINATION ON THE BASIS OF SEX IN EDUCATION PROGRAMS OR ACTIVITIES 

Policy 2264 pertains to sex discrimination, including sex-based harassment, which occurs on or after August 1, 2024.

To file a formal Title IX report, or to ask questions regarding Title IX, you may contact the Title IX Coordinator at 269-279-1100 or via email at titleixcoordinator@trschools.org.  You may also file a formal Title IX report online (including anonymously) on the TRCS - Title IX Reporting Form.
