Three Rivers Community Schools (TRCS) believes in the strength of community created by a neighborhood schools model. Geographical boundaries are established at the district level and students are enrolled in the school that corresponds to their residence address.  

Elementary Attendance Boundaries

Kindergarten & Young 5's Enrollment Opens April 13, 2026 for the 2026-2027 School Year

  • The In-District Transfer window CLOSES on May 29, 2026

  • In-District School of Choice for Kindergarten ONLY is open now; 1st - 12th Grade opens on June 1, 2026 to September 11, 2026.  We are not accepting Young 5's for SOC.
  • Out of District School of Choice (105c) for Grades  K-12 open on July 6, 2026 to August 7, 2026. We are not accepting Young 5's for SOC.

Please do not complete the steps below if your student is planning on enrolling in the TR Partnership only.  Please contact Kerrie Bass at 269-279-1130 Option 5 to enroll in TR Partnership.

Enrollment for the 2026-2027 School Year opens Monday, April 13, 2026!

  • Access our Pre-Registration portal at :  Online Pre-Registration ;     
  • Complete the Pre-Registration Form;    
  • Once your Pre-Registration Form has been approved, you will receive an email with steps to create your Parent PowerSchool Account to complete the Enrollment forms;    
  • You should have available the student's shot record, birth certificate and guardian proof of residency.  New Y5 and KDG student's will need a vision and hearing screening and dental screening;    
    • You may contact the Health Department at (269) 273-2162 for assistance obtaining vision, hearing and dental screenings;            
  • Once you have completed all forms and documentation, you will be contacted by the school with a start date.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the closure of Norton Elementary for the 2026-2027 School Year, space will be limited at Andrews and Hoppin Elementary.

Three Rivers Community Schools supports our community with three (3) elementary schools: Andrews Elementary, Hoppin Elementary, and Park Elementary. Geographical boundaries are established at the district level, and students are enrolled in the school that corresponds to their resident address. This program is for students who live in the Three Rivers Community School District requesting a transfer from their boundary-assigned school to an alternate school within the District.

The submission window for In-District Transfer Requests for the 2026-2027 School Year will be open from May 4, 2026 to May 29, 2026.

Requests must be submitted to the Three Rivers Community Schools Administrative Office before the end of the day (4:30 pm) of the window deadline. The Administrative Office is located at 851 Sixth Avenue Rd, Three Rivers MI 49093.  

Families will be notified by mail of the outcome of their request no later than two (2) weeks before the start of the school year.

Please Note: You may only request a school, not a specific teacher; placement is based on grade and classroom availability.  If requesting for more than one student, please fill out an individual application for each student.

In District Transfer Requests will be reviewed using the following criteria:

  • Students living in the attendance areas of the school requested.
  • Availability of enrollment space in school being requested. Space availability is determined by the contractual guidelines for class size and current balancing procedures. This is not first come, first served.
  • When there is/are a sibling(s) in the same building.
  • Request received before the deadline; requests received after the window closes will not be considered.

Transportation will only be provided to students in the In-District Transfer plan within the framework of the overall transportation policy of the District.

You may submit an In-District Transfer Application electronically through the Web Form below or through your student's PowerSchool account.  If you do not wish to fill out the electronic form, you may visit any of our schools to request a paper copy.  Paper copies must be delivered to the TRCS Administrative Office at 851 6th Avenue before the deadline.

Enrollment for the 2026-2027 School Year opens Monday, April 13, 2026!

Children who turn 5 years old by September 1st are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten or Young Fives. Kindergarten and Young Fives are full-day programs.  Kindergarten is available at all of our elementary schools and Young Fives will be offered at Andrews Elementary school (placement will be based on home address). Due to limited space, students with birthdays between July 1, 2021 & December 1, 2021, are eligible for Young 5's. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the best placement option for your child, feel free to contact the Administrative Office at 269-278-7409. 

If your student is currently attending Young 5's, they do not need to enroll for Kindergarten.

For families residing within Three Rivers Community Schools District, enrollment opens April 13, 2026.

To register:

  • Access our Pre-Registration portal at: Online Pre-Registration

Setting up a PowerSchool Account


In-County School of Choice is open for Kindergarten ONLY!  All other grades will not be accepted until the window opens on 6/1/26.

  • In-County School of Choice for Grades 1-12 will open on June 1, 2026; we are not accepting Young 5's.  The window for all grades closes on September 11, 2026.

Out of County School of Choice (105c) will be open from July 6, 2026 to August 7, 2026 for Grades K-12; we are not accepting Young 5's.

Three Rivers Community Schools with the support of the St. Joseph County Intermediate School District (ISD), offer a School of Choice program that allows students and families who reside in St. Joseph County ISD a choice to attend any public school within St. Joseph County ISD. In addition to the St. Joseph County program, a Section 105c School of Choice program is also available for students and families who reside in Branch ISD, Calhoun ISD, Cass ISD, Kalamazoo RESA, or Van Buren ISD a choice to attend Three Rivers Community Schools.  Once your School of Choice application is approved, you will need to complete enrollment.

Please submit completed School of Choice applications to the Three Rivers Community Schools Administrative Office located at 851 Sixth Avenue Rd, Three Rivers MI 49093. 

You may NOT request a specific school and/or teacher; if accepted, you will be placed based on TRCS school availability.
