Stronger Together on Purple Background with Powercat in Lower Right

Dear Parents and Seniors:

Each year numerous national, state and local organizations provide Three Rivers High School notification of scholarship opportunities. Please review the following listing of scholarships for student eligibility. We have organized scholarship opportunities by date due where one is specified; click on the name of a month in the table below to view these time-sensitive resources. Other scholarships and resources are also listed below. It is recommended that you look over this material thoroughly. If you find scholarships of particular interest to you, please contact the guidance department to double check their deadline dates.

Many paper applications are available in the TRHS Guidance Office, or are in a printable PDF format found in a link on the scholarship listing.  In the last few years, many scholarships have switched to an online application format.  If that is the case, a link to the application is available in the scholarship listing.  Some scholarship sponsors ask that the applications be sent from the high school. Some applications should be mailed directly to the sponsors. The due dates in the master listing are subject to change by the scholarship donors throughout the year. Please use this as a guide and allow enough time before deadlines to ask for letters of recommendation and transcripts. Students should use a word processing program to complete applications if possible. Otherwise, use black or blue ink, printing neatly.

The guidance department is committed to providing student and parent information that may help secure financial resources for post-secondary education. We know how busy students become in their senior year and it is easy to forget about picking up scholarship information when homework assignments, tests, sports, and jobs are all part of a student’s life. If your student does not apply, he/she will not be able to be a scholarship recipient, so it is very important you review the material below.

Another good source for scholarship information is the financial aid office of the college your son or daughter is planning to attend. Scholarships are also listed in college catalogs and on the college website your student is interested in attending. Please keep in mind, the earlier you apply and are accepted the sooner you may begin your research and increase your chances for receiving one or more scholarships.

We are looking forward to working with you to make your son or daughter’s dreams a reality. If you have any questions or if we may be of further assistance to you, please contact the guidance office at 279-1126.

Sincerely,

Stephen Presdorf
