University of Dayton First Year Admissions Scholarships

(Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • First-year, full-time students who enroll in a four-year program in Art and Design, Music or Theatre, Dance and Performance Technology are eligible to apply for competitive scholarships.
  • Up to $10,000 per year.
  • Must apply to the University of Dayton by and apply for the scholarship by November 1st for the theatre, dance and performance technology scholarships, November 6th for the Arts and Design scholaorship  There is currently a typo on the Arts and Design page which gives last years due date.

Ayn Rand Essay Contest- Atlas Shrugged

(Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • 12th grade high school or college students1st prize- one $10,000, 2nd prize-three $2,500, 3rd prize-five-$500, 25 finalists-$100.00, 50 semifinalists-$25.00
  • Read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and select one of three topics to write an 600 to 1200 word essay.

CMU Centralis Scholarship Competition

(Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • Must be accepted for admission to CMU
  • The scholarships range from full tuition, up to full ride which includes tuition and room and board.
  • Must have a minimum 3.7 GPA

Telluride Association

  • Students must complete 30 hours of community service per semester

Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship Competition 

(Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • “Most Valuable Student” Scholarship Competition gives out a total of $2,440,000 to many students.
  • Based on scholarship, leadership, and financial need

(Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • You must be a high school or college student
  • Must be between 16 and 25 on the day of the deadline.
  • You must be a US or Canadian citizen.
  • Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Must submit answers to essay questions.

Cook Scholarship Program 

(Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • Up to $55,000 per year for a 4 year accredited college or university.  Any major.  Personal advising about selecting a college and financial aide.  Advice about transitioning to college and maximizing the experience.
  • Must have a cumulative non weighted 3.5 GPA or above, graduate from high school in the spring of 2023, and intend to enroll full time to college for fall 2023.
  • Demonstrate financial need.

Schoolhouse Connection 

(Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • For students who have experienced homelessness.
  • Must have been homeless in the last 6 years.
  • $2500 scholarship, plus costs to attend the award ceremony.
  • Application opens June 15th, 2023.
  • Student must have been born on or after November 24th 2003.
  • Deadline is November 24th 2023
  • You must be a current senior for fall 2023 entering college for the first time for the 24-25 school year, duel enrollment students are eligible.
  • Must be a high school senior or finished a GED or alternative program, undocumented students are eligible.
