American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest 

(Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • The primary purpose of the contest is to instill a better knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States of America.

EMU Presidential Scholarship

(Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • Must be enrolling to EMU as a traditional incoming freshman for the fall of 2024
  • The Presidential Scholarship is a four year full ride scholarship.
  • Your GPA must be 3.5 or higher.
  • An ACT score of 25 or higher or SAT score of 1200 or higher. (Waived if GPA is 3.85 or higher)
  • Visit campus on or after January 1st, 2023. Check website below for what are considered "approved visits"
  • Complete the competitive essay by the date listed on the web page below.
  • The registration deadline for the scholarship is December 15th

  • U of M Flint is now offering new First Year Merit Scholarships
  • Students simply apply for admissions and are considered for these awards.

  • First year admissions scholarships ranging from $6,000, to $89,400.

Burger King Scholars Award

(Available for the 22-23 School Year)

  • Both general and employee scholarships.
  • GPA requirements depend on the particular scholarships
  • Consideration for the scholarships is based on 50% academics and 50% community involvement.

Medical Scrubs Collection Scholarship 

(Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • $1,000 scholarship.
  • Must be a H.S. senior or enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Must be a US citizen or in possession of an Alien Registration card.
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA.
  • Pursuing a degree in the medical field such as therapy, nursing, medicine, nutrition, laboratory science, dentistry, etc
  • Must complete one of two projects.  Either a 500 word writing project with relevant pictures, or a 8.5 x 11 inch image with a short description.
  • Your submission should say what inspired you to pursue a degree in the medical field. Submissions need to be your own unique work and cannot be published anywhere else online.
  • School transcripts are required.

Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship Program 

(Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must be a high school senior currently enrolled or who have completed a high school dual degree course where computer science is the subject.
  • Examples include AP Computer Science A, or AP Computer Science Principals, or computer science through a high school or college dual enroll course.
  • Planning on getting a bachelor's degree in computer science, software or computer engineering or other computer science degree.
  • Must be planning on attending a four year accredited college or a two year with the intent to transfer to a four year.
  • Minimum of a 3.0 gpa

Equitable Excellence Scholarship 

(Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • 100 $5000 scholarships renewable for a total of 4 years. 
  • 100 one time $2500 scholarships.
  • Students must have made an outstanding achievement in reducing risk in areas of financial, environmental, health, and or emergency preparedness, or an achievement in empowering society to better face risk, are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be a H.S. senior who is a U.S. citizen and plans to enroll full time at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
  • Must be willing to publicize their identity and photo, as well as their achievements.

Free Speech Essay Contest

(Not Yet Available for the 23-24 School Year)

  • Open to juniors and seniors in US high schools, including US citizens attending high school overseas.
  • Required essay must be between 700 and 900 words.
  • One 10,000 first prize, One $5,000 second prize, three $1,000 prizes, and four $500 prizes will be awarded.
